Our Story

How it started

In the heart of Napa Valley, where the vineyards stretch as far as the eye can see, is a vibrant Mexican culinary haven with an inspiring backstory. Azteca Market & Taqueria isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a dream come true of two incredible people, Ernesto and Evelia, who’ve taken their love for food and community to a whole new level.

Ernesto spent 30 years tending to the vineyards of Beckstoffers. On the other hand, Evelia served as a housekeeper.

In 2005, these two individuals, driven by a shared passion for their Mexican heritage and cherished for their community, took a leap of faith. They opened up Azteca Market & Taqueria, and Napa Valley tasted Mexico like never before. Despite their challenges, their relentless dedication to serving authentic dishes and preserving traditions paid off. In 2014, Azteca Market Napa was born, expanding its reach regionally.

Whether you’re a first-timer or a regular, you’re welcomed with a smile, and like you’re part of the family.
